Mr. Justice Jahanzeb Khan was born on November 1, 1973. He commenced his academic journey at FC College Lahore, where he completed his Bachelor degree from 1989 to 1992. He then pursued his LLB from the esteemed Punjab University Law College, University of the Punjab, from 1996 to 2000, further refining his legal expertise.

Mr. Justice Jahanzeb Khan was appointed as a Judge of the Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court on September 16, 2022. His appointment was later formally confirmed by the Ministry of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs, designating him as a Judge of the Gilgit-Baltistan Court (GBC) on September 20, 2023.

With an illustrious career spanning over 20 years, Mr. Justice Jahanzeb Khan practiced law for 13 years as an advocate in the High Court of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), followed by more than 8 years of distinguished practice before the Supreme Appellate Court of GB. His legal practice, which extended from 1999 to 2022, saw him handle a wide range of complex cases, particularly in criminal law and harbingered many vistas for the young lawyers of GB to follow the suit .Many of his landmark cases were reported in leading legal journals such as the Pakistan Criminal Law Journal (PCRLJ), the Monthly Law Digest (MLD), and the GB Law Reports (GBLR). His dedicated contributions not only significantly shaped the legal landscape and jurisprudence of the region but also speak volumes about his commitment and determination to his profession.

In recognition of his outstanding legal career, Justice Jahanzeb Khan was awarded the certification of Senior Advocate by the Supreme Appellate Court of Gilgit-Baltistan, a testament to his profound expertise and reputation within the legal community.
