Mr. Rahat Ali Changazi, son of Rehmat Ali, is a respected judicial officer from Gilgit. He has a strong academic foundation in law and holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), which paved the way for his distinguished career in the judiciary. Known for his integrity, dedication, and legal expertise, he has made significant contributions to the judicial system in Gilgit-Baltistan.
He began his judicial service on August 4, 2006, as a Civil Judge, where he demonstrated keen legal insight, integrity, and a deep commitment to justice. Over the years, his professionalism and dedication earned him a promotion to Additional District and Sessions Judge on July 1, 2022. In this role, he handled complex legal matters and played a crucial role in ensuring fair and efficient judicial proceedings.
In 2024, Mr. Changazi was entrusted with the responsibility of acting District and Sessions Judge, Nagar, where he continued to uphold the principles of justice while efficiently managing both judicial and administrative duties. Due to his extensive experience and leadership, he was recently appointed as Additional Registrar of the Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court on March 1, 2025. In this key role, he oversees administrative functions, judicial coordination, and legal affairs, contributing to the smooth operation of the court system.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rahat Ali Changazi has remained steadfast in upholding the rule of law and strengthening the judiciary in Gilgit-Baltistan. His progressive career journey reflects his dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to serving the justice system with integrity.
